Day 01: Cai Beo Cruise Port – Lan Ha Bay – Dark & Bright Cave (-/L/D)
12.00 – 12.10: Welcomed by our staff at Cai Beo Cruise Port. We will use a tender to pick you up from Beo Pier and transfer you to the cruise in the bay. Check-in Luxury Cabin onboard.
12.30 – 13.00: Enjoy a welcome drink and listen to the guide provide an overview of the itinerary as the cruise moves gently across the bay amid the stunning landscapes of Lan Ha Bay.
13.30: The cruise will take you to visit But Island. From a distance, many people associate this small island with a giant pen emerging in the vast waves of Lan Ha Bay.
13.30 – 14.30: Indulge in a diverse menu featuring seafood and traditional Vietnamese dishes during lunch. The cruise meanders through the majestic limestone mountains, taking you to Bright Cave and Dark Cave, the central region of Lan Ha Bay.
15.00 – 17.00: Explore the tranquil beauty of the bay by kayaking through the Dark and Bright Cave or relax on the pristine beach on the island. Take a swim at Ba Trai Dao beach.

08.00 – 10.30: Join a cycling or electric cart tour to explore the local life of a fishing village on the island. Immerse yourself in the fresh, green air and charming local life of Viet Hai Fishing Village.

We traveled with our teenage son and booked the Daiichi Boutique Cruise via WhatsApp with Huong. I was looking at different cruises online and came across her phone number and sent a message to ask a question. From start to finish she was fantastic, quick to reply, friendly, great communication and even sent follow up messages after to check it all went well. After the cruise she helped us get to our next destination and we decided to book our airport transfer with her too simply because she was reliable. I cannot recommend her enough.
The cruise was very nice, small with very few guests. Kayaking to remote beaches in the Karst landscape was a highlight, one of the islands had a surprise we will never forget. Then a gentle bike ride to a Vietnamese village was really pretty. The lunches were very nice on board the cruise, the one evening meal we had wasn’t great because most of it was deep fried, no-one onboard the cruise enjoyed it but we weren’t left hungry. They cater well for dietary requirements we have gluten and peanut allergy and I’m vegetarian so we are “that annoying family” but it didn’t phase them at all. Breakfast had egg and fruit, so that worked for everyone.
It was clear that they were just returning from covid and it’s winter so there was nothing to do after dinner, they promised squid fishing and karaoke but had no bait for the squid and no karaoke. We were ok with that. Only criticism was that the drinks are over double the cost of anywhere else in Vietnam and as such very few people bought a drink.
I would highly recommend this cruise. I would also highly recommend Huong for being so helpful and making our trip so much easier.

A very good cruise in an impressive landscape. This was magical. We spent 1 night on the boat. Very cozy, beautiful woody room, comfortable bed, air conditioner, shower and toilets. The english guide is helpful, as all the crew. Kayaking and swimming in the bay was amazing. We also visited a village, Viet Hai, had a walk with a guide in the national park, and saw a fish farm.
We had a rainy weather, but it was still magical and comfy. We ate well : sea food, hot pot… it was delicious. A bit too much of fresh chili for my fragile stomach, but it’s possible to avoid it, as there are several plates you pick in. It’s also possible to tell the crew if you have a special diet.

Séjour de deux jours et une nuit. Le rythme est chronométré. Nous avons vu des paysages époustouflants, avec peu de bateaux autour. La jonque est très propre, les cabines tres confortables, les repas variés et tres biens préparés. Dès la montée sur la jonque, le personnel est aux petits soins.

The boat wasn’t too big and it was very nice as it didn’t feel like being on top of each other. The boat was really beautiful, the staff very attentive. We really ate very well. The beds were comfortable with a very nice view of the landscape. We kayak with two kids, even though it was in the rain, it was really great. Same for bike. The guide was always there to help us. The bike ride was beautiful. We had the advantage of doing it in January and there were not many people. The organization on departure and arrival. There is always someone who takes care to guide us
